How we think about fair wages, conservation, and responsible travel across Tanzania.
Because we connect travelers directly with local guides, without a foreign intermediary taking a cut, more of what you pay goes directly to the people doing the work, drivers, porters, cooks, and guides, rather than being absorbed by a resale markup.
We only work with operators who pay fair porter wages and provide proper equipment for crew members on Kilimanjaro climbs. Underpaying porters is a real problem in the industry, and it's one of the first things we check with any guide we work with.
Many of the guides and operators we connect travelers with are based in the communities surrounding the parks themselves, meaning tourism revenue stays closer to the areas that need it most.
We're a young platform, and this is an area we intend to keep improving on. If you have questions about how a specific guide or itinerary handles sustainability, ask us directly, we're happy to be transparent about it.
Tell us your priorities and we'll match you with a guide whose practices align with them.
